I really like her hair! She kind of reminds me of Will from W.I.T.C.H... XD

I totally understand, it sucks not to be able to scan bigger stuff. Once you get used to drawing on A3 paper A4 seems just sooo small! ugh >_<

Now, my scanner is not working in the moment and I have been using a camera for the time being, so I got some tips for you:
There are some adjustments you can do on Photoshop to your, say,"photoscans", which will improve them a lot. If you can next time try using tools such as Image>Adjsustments>Color balance, Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Selective Color. You might also want to use Filter>Sharp>Sharp Mask. Also when taking the shot with your cam, select the mode "macro",  it is used to capture details so it will reduce the bluriness.
